A Cin7 alternative for make to order factories
Cin7 is inventory software for sellers who connect suppliers, warehouses and sales channels. Skuflo is for the factory that makes the goods to order. They answer different questions, and the right choice depends on whether your problem is selling and stocking, or making and loading.
Skuflo is production, finished goods stock and dispatch tracking for make to order manufacturers: one label for every piece, scan stations locked to one job, and a free portal for every retailer.
Selling stock versus making to order
Cin7’s own website describes inventory management software that connects suppliers, warehouses and sales channels into one system. It lists order management, a point of sale, warehouse management with barcode scanning, a B2B portal, and bill of materials tracking for simple assemblies. It is built around stock you hold and sell across channels.
A factory that makes to order has the opposite shape. The order comes first, the product is built for it, and it is held only until the van leaves. The risk is not running out of a SKU. It is shipping four pieces of a five piece order, or loading the wrong retailer’s goods. Skuflo tracks exactly that, piece by piece. See dispatch tracking and production tracking.

What changes when every piece has its own label
- Orders show as made only when all their pieces are scanned.
- A signed load: driver name, photo and signature, with a manifest PDF.
- Scans that carry a worker, a station, a time, an optional photo and an optional location.
- Stock that is a live count of real pieces, with optional racks and bays. See inventory management.
- Retailers who see their own orders piece by piece in a free portal, instead of emailing you.
When to choose Cin7, when to choose Skuflo, and using both
Choose Cin7 if
- You buy and resell stock across several sales channels and need it all in one place.
- You need a point of sale, order management or warehouse tools for products you hold.
- You want purchasing and supplier management, which Skuflo does not do.
Choose Skuflo if
- You manufacture to order for retailers and need to follow each piece through making and loading.
- You want a portal for every retailer without paying an add on for it.
- You want unlimited users and scanners on a per piece price.
Using both
If a business both makes and sells from stock, the two can sit side by side. Keep the selling and stock system for channels and purchasing, and use Skuflo for the factory floor and the retailer deliveries. Orders can move in by spreadsheet upload or the REST API.
Questions people ask
Is Skuflo a Cin7 alternative?
For one specific job, yes: following finished pieces through making, stock and dispatch. It is not a full inventory and sales system. It has no point of sale, purchasing, raw materials or bills of materials.
Does Skuflo have a B2B portal?
Yes. Every retailer gets a free portal with their own login, showing only their own orders, piece by piece status, photos and delivery notes. A portal with your branding is on Growth and up.
Do I pay for each person who scans?
No. Skuflo is priced per piece tracked each month. Users and scan stations are unlimited on every plan.
Does Skuflo connect to my online shop?
Not yet. A Shopify sync is planned but is not live. Today orders arrive through the retailer portal, spreadsheet upload, the REST API, or are added by the factory.
Where can I check Cin7’s current prices?
